“He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel.”
Psalm 103:7
It is one thing to recognize what God has done; it is another to understand His ways. In this teaching, Prophetess Sherryann Hernandez explores how recognizing God’s patterns through previous seasons of pressure, waiting, provision, and breakthrough can deepen our trust and help us remain steady when we cannot yet see what He is doing.

The difference between seeing God’s acts and understanding His ways.
Why previous testimonies do not automatically produce trust in a new season.
How to recognize recurring patterns in the way God has worked in your life.
How understanding God’s ways can help you remain steady during pressure, waiting, and uncertainty.
Israel witnessed extraordinary demonstrations of God’s power—the Red Sea divided, manna appeared, and water came from a rock. Yet experiencing God’s intervention did not necessarily mean they understood Him. We can similarly celebrate answered prayers while still becoming unsettled when the next season does not unfold as expected.
Moses recognized something deeper than individual miracles. He began to understand God’s consistent dealings with His people: testing could precede provision, pressure could come before breakthrough, and silence could precede clarity. Therefore, difficult circumstances did not automatically cause him to reinterpret God’s character or assume that God had withdrawn.
Spiritual maturity requires more than remembering the breakthrough; we must also study the process that preceded it. When we trace God’s faithfulness through previous seasons, today’s uncertainty may begin to look familiar. Recognizing His pattern helps us stop treating the middle of the process as though it were the end of the story.
Father, teach me not only to recognize Your hand but to know Your ways. When circumstances change, pressure increases, or answers seem delayed, keep me from interpreting the process as evidence that You have changed. Give me wisdom to remember how faithfully You have led me before and discern the patterns of Your work in my life. Mature my trust until I no longer need to see the outcome before I believe You are present and working. Help me remain steady in the middle, confident in Your character and faithful through every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
