โAnd they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.โ
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
About this MESSAGE
God has not called believers to live defeated by the pressures of this world or intimidated by the enemy. In this teaching, Prophetess Sherryann Hernandez reveals what Scripture means when it calls us overcomers and explores how the blood of Jesus, the word of our testimony, God’s Word, and our authority in Christ equip us to stand victorious in spiritual battle.
KEY SCRIPTURE
โFor whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?โ
1 John 5:4โ5 (KJV)
WHAT YOUโLL LEARN
What Scripture means when it declares that believers are overcomers.
What believers are called to overcome in their walk with Christ.
How the blood of Jesus and your testimony become weapons against the enemy.
How to use God’s Word and your authority in Christ when facing spiritual opposition.
KEY TEACHING POINTS
1
You Were Positioned to Overcome
Being an overcomer does not mean you will never encounter opposition, affliction, temptation, conflict, or spiritual attack. Scripture reveals that these realities exist, but they do not determine your final position. Through Christ, believers are called to face opposition from a place of faith, spiritual awareness, and victory.
2
Christ Has Given You Spiritual Authority
The believer’s battle is not against flesh and blood. Jesus has authority over the powers of darkness, and believers are commissioned to operate in His name. Therefore, we must stop magnifying the enemy and understand the spiritual authority Christ has made available to His Church.
3
Overcome by the Blood and Your Testimon
Revelation 12:11 reveals powerful keys to overcoming Satan. Christ’s blood answers the accusations of the enemy, while the testimony of God’s faithfulness strengthens us against deception. Our personal experiences with God and our declaration of biblical truth become powerful reminders that the enemy’s accusations do not have the final word.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- When opposition comes, do I respond from the conviction that Christ has already positioned me to overcome, or do I immediately assume defeat?
- What recurring lies, accusations, temptations, or areas of opposition have I allowed to intimidate me instead of confronting them with God's Word?
- What personal testimonies of God's faithfulness have I experienced that I need to remember when the enemy attempts to make me doubt God?
- Am I actively searching Scripture for God's truth concerning the battles I face and declaring that truth, or am I allowing my circumstances to speak louder than His Word?
A PRAYER FOR YOU
Father, I pray that every believer receiving this teaching would awaken to the victory You have provided through Jesus Christ. Let every lie of defeat, fear, condemnation, and spiritual intimidation be exposed by the truth of Your Word. Teach them to stand confidently in the finished work of Christ, trusting in the blood of Jesus and remembering the testimonies of Your faithfulness in their lives. Give them discernment to recognize the true nature of spiritual opposition and courage to answer the enemy with Your Word. May they walk in humility, obedience, faith, and the authority You have entrusted to them, knowing that in Christ they are overcomers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
