The Oil on Your Life Was Crushed for This Generation
โYou meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many lives.โ
Genesis 50:20
About this MESSAGE
Betrayal, rejection, false accusation, and painful seasons can leave wounds that affect how we see, hear, love, and serve. Through Josephโs story and personal testimony, this teaching reveals why healing, forgiveness, and surrender are essential to the oil God wants to release through your life. Your crushing does not have to end in bitterness; God can use what you survived to bring healing to others.
KEY SCRIPTURE
โHe comforts us in all our trouble so that we can comfort others with the same comfort we ourselves have received from God.โ
2 Corinthians 1:4
WHAT YOUโLL LEARN
How crushing seasons can prepare you for purpose
How unhealed wounds can distort spiritual perception
Why forgiveness and surrender are essential to healing
How to release your oil to bring healing to others
KEY TEACHING POINTS
1
The Crushing Did Not Cancel Your Calling
Joseph endured betrayal, abandonment, false accusation, imprisonment, and being forgotten, yet none of it cancelled what God had placed upon his life. The crushing became part of his preparation. What others intended for evil became the very journey through which God positioned him to preserve many lives.
2
Unhealed Pain Contaminates the Flow
Pain that remains untreated does not simply stay hidden. It can distort how we see others, affect what we hear, cloud discernment, and dull our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. God wants to heal the wound so that offense does not contaminate what He desires to pour through us.
3
Your Oil Is Not for You Alone
God’s healing is not meant to terminate with us. The comfort we receive becomes something we can pour into someone else. As we acknowledge our pain, surrender our wounds, forgive, and obey God, He can use our stories, service, love, and forgiveness to bring healing to others.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Am I truly healed from what happened to me, or have I simply learned how to function while still wounded?
- Is there any offense or unforgiveness in my heart that is affecting how I see, hear, love, or respond to others?
- What painful experience have I been hiding or avoiding that I now need to surrender fully to the Holy Spirit?
- Where is God asking me to release the oil from what I have survived through my story, service, love, forgiveness, or obedience?
A PRAYER FOR YOU
Father, in the name of Jesus, heal every place in me that still carries the wounds of betrayal, rejection, loss, and disappointment. Reveal any offense I have hidden beneath the surface, and give me grace to forgive fully and surrender what I cannot heal on my own. Purify my heart so that pain does not distort how I see, hear, love, or serve. Show me the purpose in what I have survived and where the oil You have produced in me needs to flow. Give me courage to obey, to love beyond the faults of others, and to pour what You have placed within me for Your glory. In Jesusโ name, Amen.
