God Remembers
The Covenant Still Speaks
βWe have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.β
Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
About this MESSAGE
When delay, disappointment, and uncertainty make it seem as though God has forgotten, covenant reminds us that His Word has not changed. This teaching reveals the faithfulness of the covenant-keeping God, how Jesus fulfilled and sealed the covenant through His blood, and why His promises rest on His character rather than our performance. Learn to anchor your faith in what God has said and live with confidence as a covenant person in a shaking world.
KEY SCRIPTURE
βGod is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?β

What biblical covenant reveals about God’s faithfulness
How Jesus fulfilled and sealed the covenant through His blood
Why covenant is promise-based, not performance-based
How to live anchored and confident in a shaking world
KEY TEACHING POINTS
1
Covenant Is Anchored in Godβs Faithfulness
Godβs covenant does not rest on human perfection but on His unchanging character. From Abraham onward, Scripture reveals a God who binds Himself to His Word. Our confidence therefore comes not from how perfectly we perform, but from knowing that the One who made the covenant cannot lie or deny Himself.
2
Jesus Is the Fulfillment of Covenant
Jesus did more than bring another promise; He fulfilled what the covenants were pointing toward. Through His blood, He became the sacrifice that permanently dealt with sin and restored relationship with the Father. Covenant therefore moves us away from striving to earn Godβs acceptance and into relationship secured through Christ.
3
Covenant People Live Differently
When the world shakes, covenant people do not build their lives around fear, headlines, emotions, or trends. They remember Godβs character, speak in agreement with His Word, walk in spiritual authority, cultivate the secret place, and pass a legacy of faith to the generations following them.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Have delay or disappointment caused me to question something God has already revealed about His faithfulness?
- Am I relating to God through covenant and grace, or am I still trying to earn through performance what Christ has already secured?
- When circumstances contradict what God has said, which carries greater authority in my heartβwhat I see or what I know about His character?
- What would change in my prayers, words, decisions, and daily life if I truly lived as someone anchored in covenant rather than controlled by fear?
A PRAYER FOR YOU
Father, anchor my heart in the certainty of who You are. When delay, fear, or disappointment tempt me to question Your Word, remind me that You are the covenant-keeping God who cannot lie. Deliver me from striving to earn what Jesus has already secured through His blood. Teach me to remember Your faithfulness, agree with Your Word, and live from covenant rather than circumstances. Strengthen me to stand when everything around me is shaking, to obey You from relationship rather than fear, and to carry a legacy of faith to those coming after me. I trust Your character, Your covenant, and Your Word. In Jesusβ name, amen.
